Cookie Policy
Hub Design is operated by Hegde Ventures. This Cookie Policy explains how cookies and similar browser technologies are used on hubdesign.in, and how you control them. It should be read alongside our Privacy Policy.
On this page
Our principle is straightforward: technology that is genuinely necessary for the site to work may operate without optional consent. Everything else — analytics today, and any marketing technology introduced later — should run only where you have allowed it.
One exception to that principle exists today, on our homepage. It is set out in section 06 rather than left for you to find.
01Scope
This policy covers the Hub Design website at hubdesign.in and the browser-based technologies used through it: cookies, and comparable browser storage such as local storage and session storage.
Some resources are delivered from external infrastructure, including fonts and embedded media such as the Founder Film. A request to an external service is not by itself tracking, and we do not present it as such.
02Cookies and similar technologies
Cookies are small pieces of information a website stores through your browser. Related technologies do the same job with different lifespans: session storage is cleared when you close the browser tab, while local storage persists until it is removed.
We use them for a small number of purposes — remembering your cookie choice, holding your progress while you complete a form, keeping brief interface state during a visit, protecting our forms from automated abuse, and measuring how the site is used where analytics has been allowed.
03How we group these technologies
Necessary for the website, or for a feature you have chosen to use. This covers the storage that remembers your cookie choice, the continuity of forms you are filling in, and the security checks that protect those forms. Essential technologies operate without optional consent. In our Cookie Preferences control these appear as “Strictly Necessary”.
Not required for the website to function. Today this means Analytics. Non-essential technologies should run only after you have allowed them.
If advertising or marketing technology is introduced in future, it will also be non-essential, and Analytics and Marketing may then be offered as separate choices. Allowing analytics is not permission for marketing tracking.
04Essential technologies
Functional
First-party browser storage is used to:
- remember your cookie preference, so you are not asked again on every visit;
- preserve Start Hub progress, so refreshing the page does not lose your place;
- preserve Contact form drafts and completion state, so a partly written enquiry survives a reload; and
- remember Founder Film session state, so the launch experience is not repeated within a single visit.
Apart from your cookie preference, these are session-scoped and cleared when you close the tab.
Security
Two services protect our forms from automated abuse:
- Cloudflare Turnstile, used during Start Hub email verification; and
- Google reCAPTCHA v3, used when a Contact enquiry or a verified Start Hub brief is submitted. It activates at the point of submission rather than on page load.
These perform a security function. They are not analytics and not advertising, and they do not depend on your analytics choice — declining optional analytics does not switch them off, because they are not part of that category.
05Analytics
Analytics helps us understand, in aggregate, how the website is used and where the experience can be improved.
We use Google Analytics 4, loaded through Google Tag Manager. Neither loads, and no Google Analytics cookies are created, until you allow analytics through our cookie controls. If you decline, they remain off. If you allow analytics and later withdraw that choice through , we stop further collection and remove the Google Analytics cookies from this domain.
Analytics shows us information such as pages viewed, how visits progress, which elements are interacted with, general browser and device information, how visitors arrived, and how the website performs technically.
We do not use analytics to identify individual prospects, score leads, decide whom to contact, or link analytics identifiers to names, email addresses, Contact submissions, Start Hub briefs or our client records. We do not give agencies, freelancers or consultants routine access to our analytics.
Google’s advertising-related consent signals remain switched off in our configuration.
06Platform analytics on the homepage
The Hub Design homepage currently includes platform-level analytics technology provided by PostHog as part of the website’s publishing infrastructure.
This analytics operates separately from the Google Analytics setup described above and is not governed by our Cookie Preferences control. It can create analytics identifiers on the homepage before you have made a cookie choice, and choosing to reject optional analytics does not currently stop it.
This does not meet the standard we apply to our own optional analytics, where analytics does not run until you allow it. We have raised the matter with the technical team so that this behaviour can be brought into line with that standard.
This affects the homepage only. Hub Design does not use these identifiers to connect analytics activity with names, email addresses, Contact submissions, Start Hub briefs or client records.

The Google Analytics and PostHog cookies above are first-party — stored against hubdesign.in — even though Google and PostHog provide the underlying services.
Storage lifetimes can be shortened by your browser’s own limits and settings. A cookie’s lifetime is also not the same as the period for which a provider may retain information derived from it.
08Marketing
Hub Design does not use advertising, remarketing or behavioural advertising technologies on this website.
Allowing analytics does not subscribe you to marketing communications. Submitting a Contact enquiry or a Start Hub brief does not enrol you in a newsletter or marketing programme — that information is used to respond to you, as described in our Privacy Policy.
If marketing technology is introduced in future, this policy will be updated and Cookie Preferences reviewed before it becomes part of how the website operates. An earlier decision to allow analytics will not be treated as permission for it.
09Managing your preferences
You can allow or decline optional analytics when you first visit, and open from the footer at any time to change your decision.
Your choice is remembered until you change it, you clear your browser data, or we make a material change to these practices that warrants asking again.
You can also manage cookies and site data directly in your browser. Browser controls work independently of Cookie Preferences, and clearing site data will also remove your saved cookie choice and any form progress held for your current visit.
As set out in section 06, Cookie Preferences does not control the platform analytics on the homepage.
10Changes to this Cookie Policy
We update this policy when the technologies on the website change, when providers change, when our consent controls change, or when our practices need to be made clearer.
Where a change materially affects the purposes for which non-essential technologies operate, we may ask you to make a fresh choice rather than rely on a previous one.
The date at the top of this page shows when it was last updated.
